#NWED Women in Business Female Entrepreneurs

#NWED Women in Business Female Entrepreneurs

So what is National Women’s Enterprise Day and why is it important?

On October 17th 2019 I will ahve the pleasure of interviewing a panel of successful female entrepreneurs who are #makingithappen across. The 31 Local Enterprise Offices will organise 17 events nationwide to celebrate women in business and female entrepreneurship. So why?

National Women’s Enterprise Day is a day to give recognition to female-led businesses and encourage more women to put themselves forward and set more ambitious targets. In 2018 more than 1 in 3 start-ups were female led which is a massive increase from 1 in 10 in 2012. So why are women less likely to start a business?
• More risk adverse
• Less self-belief
• Putting family commitments first
• Fear of failure
National Women’s Enterprise Day offers women the opportunity to hear how other women have made it happen, the ups the downs and how to overcome them. There will be opportunities to network and meet likeminded women who will inspire and encourage you to set your targets and start #makingithappen for yourself. No one ever succeeds alone so reach out and join us on October 17th. Looking forward to seeing you there..
